School, exams and money in dreams
Decades after the last exam, adults still dream of walking into one unprepared. School is the first place most of us were measured, and the dream returns there whenever waking life is measuring again: a review, a deadline, a room full of people whose approval matters. The failed test is rarely about knowledge. It is about the fear of being found out.
Money dreams carry the same question in a different currency. What is the dreamer worth, and who decides? Losing a wallet strips away the cards that prove identity along with the means to pay; winning the lottery drops unearned value into a life and asks what it would do with it. Jung read money as psychic energy, something that can be hoarded, squandered, lost or suddenly found, and the dream's attitude to it is usually the dreamer's attitude to their own resources.
Read together, these dreams describe the pressure of evaluation from the outside and the quieter matter of self-worth underneath it.
