Interpretation

A second reading, when you want one

The dream dictionary is a hundred years old and wrong about you. A snake means something different in every life. So the reading starts from your journal, not from a list.

Grounded in what you wrote

An interpretation considers the whole dream: the symbols it contains, the feeling that ran through it, and the people and places in it that have appeared before. It is read through a Jungian, archetypal lens and against your own history, so a recurring house is treated as your recurring house. Why Jung, and how his method differs from Freud's, has its own essay.

It suggests. It never pronounces.

A good reading opens a question rather than closing one. The interpretation offers what a symbol tends to point at and what this dream might be doing, and leaves the last word to the only person who was there.

A library of 500+ symbols

Behind every reading is a library of 500+ dream symbols, each explored rather than defined. The ones from your own dreams surface first. The most dreamed of them are published on this site, with a page for each and for the emotions that run through dreams.

Only when you ask

A reading is never produced on its own: you ask for one, dream by dream. The journal works in full without this layer. What does run on its own, with Pro, is the tagging after a dream is saved, and each part of that has a switch in Settings. AI and privacy has the full account.
